Today is #worldpeaceday & Leaders all over the globe are calling for peace in a myriad of ways! I’ve asked a lot of people over the years if they have three wishes what they would wish for, and world peace and happiness are always up there in the top two.
Take a moment today to think about what peace means for you in your life as an individual.
What does having peace look like in your own life?
In our household when my young kids ask me what God is I say ‘Love’. Everyone has their own beliefs on this and they key to peace is to act from a place of Love in order to respect the beliefs of others. The one thing we always say is that the easiest way to express love is to ‘be kind’, be kind to others but most importantly, practice being kind to yourself too. We need to do this to genuinely be able to act from a place of Love. By being kind to ourselves and others in our own lives we are able to spread a ripple effect of peace globally.
Here are two of my favourite quotes for you today…
‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
‘“A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” – Roald Dahl
Wishing you Love, Light, Kindness, Happiness, Fun & Lots of Sparkle to bring peace in your own lives!
