Are you an Emotional Eater?

How many times, no matter how many times you have told yourself that you are definitely going to make a change still end up reaching into the biscuit tin at the end of the day?

How often do you still end up opening the fridge staring with your nose in it to fill some void and end up devouring the tub of ice cream and a bar of chocolate?

How many times have you promised yourself you are going to get in shape, have a ‘beach body’ and then end up drinking the entire bottle of wine that evening instead of just the one glass, a packet of crisps and a chocolate bar.

How often do we tell ourselves these lies when we don’t really believe we can do it or want to? So, we end up eating 20 biscuits as we tell ourselves we deserve it and then feel awful about it and so the cycle continues…

We have a heavy weekend and we start a diet yet again on a Monday morning as we believe we have been ‘bad’.

We know we have a party coming up at the week so we restrict our food for a few days so we can feel ‘good’ about ourselves? Familiar?

It’s rare for anyone to get an hour to work on their nutrition and life goals with a trained professional. People are generally stretched for time daily and often we feel that we are not really listened to as individuals in our fast paced society.

As a Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that will enable you to achieve all of your health goals. I passionately believe that what we eat impacts so many areas of our life. I have witnessed for myself the link between what you eat and how you feel. I have studied all the major dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you.

Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I’m first and foremost a coach. I coach my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and rigid discipline. My approach is about individually tailored changes which you are able to incorporate long term into your life.

No one diet  or approach works for everyone, because everyone is an individual. I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. I will also help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals. I will not be giving you a daily diet plan, what we will be doing is working together to upgrade your food and lifestyle choices through coaching, education and awareness.

I work primarily with professionals who are looking for more sustained balance in their lives, healthier food choices, more energy, stress reduction and weight loss. The 3 areas most of my clients fall into is –

  1. Busy Corporate Females who are ready to change, who know there must be a better way but until now haven’t believed they have the time or energy to make the change
  2. Woman who are struggling with emotional eating or some form or disordered eating. They know it’s not really about the food and are ready to really address their ‘why underneath their why’ and release the fears and habits that are holding them back from the life that they want to live and know they are capable of living
  3. Women who have busy careers and have polycystic ovaries. They are wanting to shift things in their bodies to get more energy and perhaps fall pregnant.

Life is a long time, if you want something different you need to do something differently. I’d love to support you in making the changes you want for yourself and your life.
